2. Diplomatically

They were able to convince the USA, UN, AU and the world that they are the key stakeholders in stabilizing Ethiopia and the Horn Africa and they used that as a leverage to bring Abiy to the negotiation table against the agreement & covenant he had with Isaias.

What is remaining is punishing the demon at Adi Halo and have paitence on how that is going to be implemented.
