Just thinking out loud! Bring your thoughtful ideas to this thread but hold back your anger or hate. It will not contribute anything to the discussion and you would appear stupid at best.

I don't see any reason for Eritrea to have a military base in Ethiopia. The only threat to Eritrea was vermin tplf and it has been successfully castrated. Some sort of military alliance like NATO would be more feasible.

Eritrea does not need to rent military base in Ethiopia due to the already existing favorable geographical proximity because it is almost in Ethiopia even while being in Eritrea. Even if that happens I am sure that some fault finders might be the first to throw the first stone at the government also because Eritrea and Ethiopia are only a stone throw away from each other in terms of distance.

How will you form military alliance like NATO in East Africa? The TPLF is not operating by itself. One has to develop plans with that in mind. It's the reality one can't deny and unfortunately we have folks who will sellout everyone and everything for preserving their power.

A good idea, but Abiy and PP will not do it.

That can make sense politically if and only if we are not talking about the parasitical-Ethiopia (aka oromuma) lead by Abiy and his tribe.

The way out of servant status and free is to be food self sufficient, as long as the country is dependent on donated food, it’ll always be servant to the food donors.

Careful there, bro! Abiy will tell you he's growing wheat for export!
On a serious note, the current situation can't wait until the country grows enough wheat. Other solutions have to be imagined, and very soon!

Are we forever subjugated by PP or are we gonna find a way out?

Eritrea has proved to everyone out there not only can it defend itself meticulously but also twalt a regional peace spoiler beyond its borders. If TPLF had its way in Nov 2020, we would now be counting two years into, perhaps, another twenty years of stalemate. Thanks to the Eritrean army for disabling TPLF and supporting the ENDF to defeat the TPLF convincingly.
Eritrea has done its fare share in stabilising the region. Ethiopian government now needs to get its acts right and tidy up the mess left behind by the brutal rule of TPLF led government.
Going forward, Eritrea needs to look inward and catch up on every aspect of governance including economy, education, health etc. Our heroes and heroines need to get back to their civilian life, be rewarded handsomely and look after their families.
No need for Ethiopia to provide Eritrea a military base.
Just make sure TPLF 2 does not mushroom in Tigray and you will be fine.

The analyst does not think Eritrea would request more than just a buffer zone on the border. “TPLF officials are bringing up the Eritrean issue as a bargaining chip to get a guarantee that they will be part of the transitional government, as well as impunity from any accountability over past war crimes.”
