Ethiopia Accuses Eritrean Forces Of Atrocities
On Nov 17, 2022

A senior official from Ethiopia’s northern Tigray region says Eritrean forces are still committing atrocities despite the recent deal with Addis Ababa to bring an end to the two-year war.

Tigray People’s Liberation Front spokesman, Getachew Reda said Eritrean forces were killing civilians and looting and destroying property.

Meanwhile, several human rights organisations have accused Eritrean soldiers of committing atrocities in Ethiopia in the past, but these claims have been denied by Eritrean officials.

Mr. Getachew also said Tigrayan fighters would not lay down their arms until the federal government ensured the withdrawal of Eritrean and other forces from the region.

However, an Ethiopian official said the Eritrean issue would be resolved as soon as federal troops were stationed in Tigray’s border areas.

Sarko,

It is indeed a great progress when you Agames have become Ethiopians. Hale Luya! But Eritrea will stay put until the border is demarcated.

Getachew Reda is no more an official, according to his own agreement. He is a criminal acquitted by PP and is made by PP to reman private citizen. This article is false. A private citizen is not an official. The TPLF thugs wants to get things both ways.

It's time for the Eritreans to vacate northern Ethiopia to salvage the peace deal and the rain of sanctions and more bloodshed in Eritrea. I think Eritrea got enough of what it wanted, revenge and Badme. What other needs does Isayas have that would force him to stay in Northern Ethiopia? Nothing other than to play spoiler. There is no need to give reason for American intervention in Eritrea. The horn requires peace more than anything after two years of pillage and death. Enough!

This is some heartbreaking and sad happening. And this is the result of the irresponsible Weyane thugs who clearly do not give a hoot about the welfare of these poor people.

Voice of Nigeria is the news agency of the Government of Nigeria. The absurdity of Ethiopian and Eritrean governments' alliance against Tigray makes it difficult for a normal national news agency to understand.

Here's an analogy that could help other journalists understand the actors in the War on Tigray.
