Why do authorities allow for this to go unchallenged? Blocking traffic isn't a civil right, yet police are present in significant numbers and the " protest " continues.
Of course, this is Seattle. You broke it, you bought it.

No one should be allowed to block traffic. imagine someone trying to get to a hospital or losing a job because they can't get to work on time. It should be absolutely illegal.

Welcome to Seattle! Protestors, activists, homeless, drug addicts are treasured, while the people that live and work there are simply seen as the ATM to fund them.

Potentially causing harm to other people who are on the highway by blocking and causing traffic and impeding emergency services is not the way to make a point. The irony.

I saw a video like this where a parolee was trying to get to work and he told them that if he was late for work they'd revoke his parole and he'd go back to prison. The man was crying and they would not let him through.

And then they will act surprised when someone snaps and plows them over.SMH

All this does is [deleted] people off and not care to help your cause.

Everyone who missed a critical doctor appointment or was late for work and got docked on their paycheck or had any financial or emotional impact should be able to sue the people that did the protest. And there shouldn't be no ability to file bankruptcy to avoid a judgment. Name the protestors. I'm all for protest but you don't prevent people from getting on with their lives. You have no idea what's going on in their lives.

This is a prime example and one of 1,000 reasons I moved to Texas last year. It's been freaking Great. No tents, no needles, no idiots on the freeways.

These people should be arrested and brought to justice. They should be charged with disrupting employees' work hours and violating city ordinances.

The message is you can get away with anything if you have enough people. After blocking the freeway, they are allowed to simply leave with no penalties.

Tigray is almost 10,000 miles from Seattle and yet we have to deal with their problems that we have been no part of. How did they get over here and who allows them to shut down a major highway system? It seems to me that a similar situation happened in the Bellevue area 3 or so years ago. This has got to come to an end.

How do these people ever expect to gain support when everything they do makes people angry and frustrated?

This is not how you bring awareness to something, their cause gets completely overshadowed by the fact they are blocking the freeway and being total a-holes.

Very shameful the government allows this to happen!!! How many are arrested??? Crimes go up because no action is being taken. The law must be respected by all! No exception

I would say if any fatalities come out of this, say from accidents, or ambulances not getting through, they should be charged with manslaughter

This irresponsible act of theirs shows how bogus their cause is! ... I hope the government will oversee the situation so that all states will not be troubled in a similar manner again. Our sincere apologies on behalf of our disgraced brothers and sisters 🙏 (from Ethiopia)

This is BS. NOBODY must be forced to wait in the traffic for hours. They create more hatred towards their cause than sympathy. Tow and confiscate their cars.

Yes, what better way to gain public support for your cause or grievances than by severely inconveniencing everyone. Also, why do this in Seattle? Doing his outside of the White House or the Capitol building would make more sense.

You can protest all you want - just don't inhibit people's travel over it. Blocking the roads is stopping people from going to work, getting necessities, and emergency services from doing their jobs. People are more willing to listen if you don't inhibit their movement.

It’s mind boggling they don’t tow the cars, arrest the people blocking traffic and try to clear the highway as quick as possible. It’s so incredibly illegal to block highways regardless of if it’s for a protest.

The protesters should be charged and arrested and held accountable to compensate all the people they held up and expenses, time, and resources spent to get the highway back up and flowing.

If they truly care for their family back home they should support the peace deal reached after so much effort. Why on earth they're doing this? There's is no any right for them to block a nation hosting them to live in prosperity. In my opinion, these people have to be arrested and charged with felony.
