- He said "we have agreed on total disarmament"
- He and the agreement talks about heavy and light weapon disarmament
- TPLF will hand over heavy weapons to ENDF as no political party or region should be in possession of these weapons
- Light weapons too will be collected and a reasonable amount will stay in Tigray and will be handed over to the transitional government
Why are light weapons collected? Because there is no regional government in Tigray that can currently posses them legally and no political party is allowed to own weapons. That is the reason behind why light weapons too will be collected. Some of them will then be handed over to the transitional government but until then and as there is currently no government, light weapons will be collected by ENDF.
