The truce in the eyes of Amhara extremists & Tigraway nationalists.

Post by EPRDF » 05 Nov 2022, 17:33

The Pretoria accord that was signed between the government of Ethiopia and the Tigray regional force to end the two years of bloodshed is a win-win result for both warring camps and for the people of Ethiopia at large.

It was a known fact that the already weak Ethiopian economy has been falling apart from its a bad position to its worst due to this senseless war, and any further protracted fire exchange means the crumbling of the Ethiopian state in its entirety thus it was wise that the Ethiopian government to make concessions with the rebels, at least the peace truce could save lives and resource from further wasting.

However, some Amhara extremists are not happy with this outcome while some falsely claim as their trojan horse government is utterly victorias.

By collaborating with Isayas Afewerqi, Amhara elites regarded Addis/ Tigray war as an opportunity to eliminate TPLF, the federal structure of Ethiopia and its constitution once and for all but, signing the peace treaty by leaving TPLF immune inside the Ethiopian political arena has become a huge disappointment for this camp. We do not know what their next thought might be.

Meanwhile, in the same camp, some try to portray the scene as Ethio Government to has won and dictated the negotiation in its term and came out triumphant because one of the clauses of the treaty signed in the concession is the disarmament of the TPLF forces.

Well, It is a wise decision as well taken by TPLF negotiators agreeing to lay down arms even though displeasure is taking place among nationalist Tigaru mainly in the diaspora.

Tigray is a region, and a region should not and cannot arm itself with heavy weaponry whatsoever as long as the federal state ministry of defense is in function. I salute TDF negotiators for having this basic understanding and coming to an agreement on this particular issue.

All outside forces must leave Tigray immediately, and Tigray’s peace and safety must be granted by the federal government while Tigray politics is freely proceeding by Tigryans for the betterment of Tigray and its people.
This is the way forward toward peace that the Tigaru nationalist camp must understand. Empty bravado and being an outlaw ain’t taking no one anywhere.

In a meantime, the government must disarm all its Leyu haile including the Oromo and Amhara. No double standard here!
