I am not sure the PM understands the magnitude of the resentment in the Amhara community for his consistent betrayal and wishy-washy stands on matters detrimental for the survival of the country as one polity. He talks fervently about the constitution when it serves as a potent weapon to be deployed against those he abhors. By now it is an open secret about what he harbors against the Amhara people and, how he is desperately trying to woo every group that he thinks would stand with him against his potential enemies to his hegemonic aspirations.

Bringing peace without ensuring equality of citizens and holding accountable those who are committing horrendous right violations is unthinkable. The political system that he loves to speak about is riffled with contradictions and sources of instability. When more than half of the country is saying they are not represented in the political system of the country, a wise leader would listen. I don't expect this man to be ready for any meaningful change unless he is forced to. There is so much to pay for down the road. I wish I was wrong.

He doesn’t care. He is very much focused in containing the elusive TPLF.
History will repeat itself. He is following the path of Menigstu.
We all know the TPLF will be back. This time with a different strategy and US mentoring. Garrisoning 50 k demoralized army around Mekele won’t save him, the Amaharas and Afars can’t possibly continue paying the price for Abiye Ahmed blunder.
The clown show will continue.

Why is it that whenever TPLF is beaten back some from the corner of Amhara extremes come out and start making more and more loud noises?

Is there any logical relationship between the two?

The correlation is evident in any way, however.

First, correct yourself. There is no Amhara extremist, but concerned Amharas for their people and region has suffered the most devastating effect of this so called "Higmaskeber Zemecha". Second, Amhara had been the number 1 and strongest supporter of Abiy Ahmed, but most Amhara felt betrayed. Once, a liar always lair. If you lost money, you lost nothing; but if you lost integrity and character you lost it forever - it is a real big deal. I can not Trust you after you betrayed me 3 times. Very hard to rebuild trust. That is Amhara's problem with PP- Abiy Ahmed, not really because he is an Oromo. I was not even happy because Lemma Megerssa was not elecetd as PM - I though he was a decent soul until I learnt he was a worshipper of an Orommuma cult. As rumor had it Lemma is more Oromo than Abiy Ahmed ,in terms of immediate family origin.

___ To make things clear, Amhara does not accept and will not recognize TPLF/OLF illegal constitution. That is NOT the book Amhara takes an oath on their freedom or citizenship. For Abiy Ahmed and his PP revering this unholy book, which cost millions of Amhara lives everywhere in the country, got him rejected by Amhara; Besides, Amhara wanted direct representation in the negotiation. Why did not Abiy Ahmed-PP invit them? What is the problem? The West had been calling out Amhara Fano along with PP ENDF. Do not underestimate this disagreement will not have effect. It is better for him to address. Amhara people are fade up, babysitting Tigre-Woyane invaders - they wanted to be empowered and close this by themselves not by mediocre party thugs.

The "big-shock" man/woman you failed to answer the question in your long essay of what you think of the Amhara people, which is in this case irrelevant. Didn't you understand the question?

The South African TPLF and PP -OLF negotiation is purely a treatment to the symptom with an over the counter medicine. But the underlying cause of the problem and the relevant victims of it are not addressed. The major problem in the hood of Ethiopian politics is clear: TPLF designated Amhara as an eternal enemy of Tigre and its constitution designated Amhara so, Amhara in Ethiopia for the last 31 years is an endangered ethnic group. All this was for this long is because of Amhara and Amhara only, yet there was no Amhara in this so called negotiation. It was not a negotiation ,it was rather conspiracy and sabotage against Amhara's existence and future in Ethiopia. Thus, the voice heard from Amhara in Ethiopia and around the globe is very legitimate. This only compounds the problem, not solving it.
