Will our Tigrayan countrymen and women learn from this debacle?

Post by Sadacha Macca » 03 Nov 2022, 20:09

In life, whether it be as individuals, or groups, we need to take lessons from our life and what occurs in it.
A famous Muslim scholar once said: ''Take heed from the lessons of those before you, before you become a lesson for those after you.''
Take heed from the mistakes of your own self and from others, if you wish to truly be wise and content as well.
When we make huge blunders and suffer the consequences, we as humans can tend to get emotional and blame others, as opposed to being cool, calm, collected, and taking accountability.
It takes strength, discipline and fortitude, to be able to say ''such and such happened, because of my sins,'' or because of ''my transgressions,'' etc....
It's easy to deflect, blame others, etc.

Will our Tigrayan countrymen/women, sit, reflect & realize it was their own leaders who brought this 2 year war/calamity upon them as a whole?
I am not absolving the other side of any war crimes, if it can be proven that they did indeed occur; but let's be honest and say, the situation that led to the war and the desire of various parties wanting revenge for past crimes committed against them (Eritrea, OPDO/some Oromo's/ANDM/ADP/Some Amara's/etc) was created by the TPLF. TPLF committed war crimes, exploited, and marginalized these communities within Ethiopia & tried to illegally annex Eritrean lands/ports/and overthrow their govt, if possible, and setup a puppet party in Asmara, along with other atrocious things.

Tigrayans are smart, I am sure that, they can overcome, simply by trying to reconcile their differences with their immediate and more distant neighbors, and not trying to marginalize them or rule over them. Accept Tigray as yours, rule it, while playing a role that is in accordance with your population, state size, etc, within Ethiopia. You can hate your neighbors if you want, but even if you want to go your separate way from Ethiopia, which is highly UNLIKELY, then how can you envision economic development and prosperity, while warring with 1 or more neighbors?
Tigray is not a super power, that can somehow fund multiple wars, protracted wars at that, and still develop its self economically.
It's good to know ones limitations, ones strengths, ones weaknesses, etc, and act accordingly-and not to be haughty/arrogant/etc.

Peace for us all. Selam and Nagatti.

Tigrayan Brother Union,
You seem to be mad at my post; is everything okay?
I know a little Amharic, used to be fluent, need to practice more to be fluent again in it and Afaan Oromo.
I wouldn't mind learning Tigrgina, can you teach me? We Oromo's tend to be open minded and speak many languages.
My dad spoke 5-6; Somali, Afaan Oromo, Amharic, and others. So we love learning about other cultures, languages, etc.

I think its possible if they're given the space to think free of the TPLF's influence. You're right though Tigray is not a super power. The amount of Tigrayan blood these TPLFite vampires of spent is shocking. I think reality has finally caught up with the TPLFites can't keep spending Tigrayan lives like they're an infinite resource, eventually you're going to run out of Tigrayan children.
