To be or not to be

We have the option to be on the right side of history, we can also choose not to be. It is our choice.

US Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield twitted about her country's intention to take measures against those whom they deemed non-compliant with the expectation of their government in reference to the peace talks between the Ethiopian government and the terrorist TPLF taking place in South Africa.

She wrote:
... we remain prepared to take appropriate measures against those who obstruct a resolution of this conflict.
We can assume such measures could be the likes of the already imposed sanction against Ethiopia by suspending it from the so called AGOA (African Growth and Opportunity Act) a trade agreement, in essence. This "measure" has already made many innocent lives in Ethiopia more miserable due to lack of job opportunity, which could have fed into that trade.

But still many patriotic Ethiopians, including those whose lives have been affected, replied "the children of Adwa will not going to bow down for AGOA", but the Ambassador is not getting the message, it seems. This is despite the pain the affected people have undergone as a consequence of the sanction.

It becomes even more painful, when seen in the context of the irony of history, where by the descendant of an American slave trade, part of the dark history of the world, is now threatening the descendants of the pioneers of black freedom.

The current generation of Ethiopians in collaboration with all those defendants of human dignity and freedom shouldn't let this happen and our proud history be tainted by those who have a tainted history. We have the choice to be on the right side of history.

#HandsOffEthiopia.

It is not about if TPLF should be buried or not, it is about how to bury the terrorist (and give the nation a chance to breath free air).
