As long as the junta seized to exist, why not? After all there has not been any diplomatic relationship among African nations and America. leaders like TPLF are a horse to the US to be ridden without saddle. Now we are different and enough is enough. That is why TPLF doe not want to see other ethnic in the thorn.

why should Ethiopia buckle under undue US pressure?
-The US policy on Ethiopia is erroneous and aimed at reinstating its client,TPLF despite massive opposition to have it removed from its 27 years of tyrannical rule.
-The Ethiopian government has not in any way jeopardise the US interest.
-The US track record in resolving issues in other countries is dismal.the US desired outcome in Ethiopia is in contrary to the desire of the Ethiopiaian people.
-The US never respected the sovereignty of the Ethiopian nation by supplying technical, material and financial support to the nationally designated terrorist group (TPLF) ,in its effort
to seize power by force.
-The US government has failed repeatedly to denounce TPLF’s atrocities or demanding its disarmament.
-The US valued TPLF over 100 million Ethiopian citizens.
Ethiopia is in a position to downgrade its diplomatic relation with U.S. and some European countries.
