Could Ethiopia split into two?
Ethio/Eritrean unity/federation could have been saved had the government of Mengistu Hailemariam handled the politics of the then north wisely and arrogance free. It seems the same mistake is being repeated now under Abiy's government in attempting to win the politics of Tigray by the means of muscle. If Addis Ababa fails to win the ongoing battle in complete victory by eradicating TPLF, the disintegration of Ethiopia would be imminent.
