Somalia: Africom announces the neutralization of two fighters from the Al-Shabab movement. (American double standard )
The American military command for Africa, Africom, announced on Tuesday October 24, 2022 the neutralization of two members of the Islamic movement Al-Shabab, during an airstrike in the region of Hiraan, in central Somalia.
In a statement, Africom said it carried out an airstrike targeting Al-Shabab operatives who were attacking government forces near the town of Buloburde in Hiraan province, about 218 km northwest of Mogadishu. .
The same source specified that the air raid, carried out on Sunday, October 23, left two dead in the ranks of the jihadists, without, however, causing casualties among the civilians.
The statement stresses that the Africom command is taking all necessary measures to avoid loss of life.
"Africom will continue, with the help of its partners, to take measures to prevent Islamist terrorists from planning attacks against civilians", adds the same source.
