Mekelle holds no strategical value right now and Ethiopian forces must concentrate on fully controlling central Tigray and slowly come from east, south, west, and north. We don't chase the rat but rather put walls around it and then either kill it or capture it without the risk of it escaping........


Ethiopian forces first must capture Kola Tembein and Degua Tembein before even thinking about Mekelle.The coalition forces will come from all four directions and the goal is for TPLFs to retreat towards Mekelle and then Ethiopian forces can finish them with artillery or air strikes. This time the TPLFs won't be allowed to hide in the mountains because the mountains will be taken first.
