I agree. How about Shakespear, Livingston, Henry, William, Monalisa, etc.? All these people were born in Ethiopia or Eritrea. Why did their parents or guardians decide to give them Ferenji names? And how do the kids feel with such foreign names?
BTW, why do you have a beef with a name like "Hailemariam"? That is a common male name in Eritrea and Ethiopia...

Madingo = A strong black man!
Meaning a Strong Black man.
Also used to refer to a Sexually Strong Black male.
Sometimes used to describe a more-than-average-size black male genitalia.
Look at that "Madingo" moving all that loads of cement by himself.
He looks like the "Madingo" I need in bed tonight.
My boyfriend has a unique "Madingo"
So the real and original meaning simply 'a strong black man' probably same with Mandingo of Niger!

What is in the name lesson that needs to be learned from our Ghanian Brothers

What's in a name? That which we call a rose/ By any other name would smell as sweet.”
