Economic cooperation is welcome. But we should always have borders as two friendly and neighbourly sovereign countries.

Until Asmara mafia gives Afars their land back, there can never be reconciliation & economic cooperation, Ethiopia has 120 million people, we need access to the sea and our own ports!

No visa required to enter and so on. Just like the US and canada used. The bond between the people can not be compared with mexico/US, and Canada have.

It is absolutely a very bad idea to think of peace with Eritrea.

Ethiopia should impose an economical embargo on little Eritrea and seal the border conditionally.

1) first and foremost the right of the Afars people must be restored.
2) Eritrea must return all the looted property and money from the port of Asseb with interest

3) they must disarm.

Until then the border should be closed.
Ethiopia should create a commission at the cabinet level to look after the North. The commission also should be given a mandate to register all Eritrean origins and closely monitor their activities. Ethiopia is landlocked as what the UN called crime of the century by the Eris and TPLF. There should be no exercise.

Ethiopia also should hang Eris agents: Dr Birr, Andy Tsigie, Neamin Zeleke

That is a BIG LIE which exists mainly in your brain just between your two ears. Otherwise peace is just around the corner since it benefits all the parties and communities concerned. If you are saying "down, down..." then it already means that you are letting yourself and others DOWN which is the opposite of peace, prosperity and unity. Optimism Heals, Pessimism kills!

If all the preconditions you set can be met, I take it you would be okay for the integration as mentioned above. If so, the process will have to start somewhere first, and the first step is to allow peaceful interactions among the people and let the people feel it again! The rest is politics!

Remember, Amara have always been known for saying "Eritreans are our brothers". This is a FACT. We are not allowing negative sircumstances change us for worst. We have been viewed as enemys for saying we are brothers! But the time has now changed. Both people are wining and Amara is finally understood by many!!

For Ethiopian and Eritrean people to live in peace and harmony, both Shabya and Isayas must be eradicated. These two entities are enemies of Ethiopia and they believe their existence depends on divided and weak Ethiopia. Their ultimate goal is to break up Ethiopia into small peices, even smaller than Eritrea because they are paranoid with the idea of a big country next to them.

If you just think twice, why would North Korea of Africa allows many of its people into venturing in Addis Ababa when we know it prohibits individual's movements? Because all those who are allowed to travel and live in Addis are shabya agents. They are committing heinous crimes in Ethiopia from stealing cars, black market of currency exchange and killings of ride drivers. They have occupied half of the condominiums in Addis Ababa. They are milking the country like American cow.

Now, don't get me wrong here, l have many Eritrean friends who are decent and hardworking. Many of them are either in Asmara in open prison or their loved ones are there or walking in the desert to escape Shabya's brutal rule.

Do you know there is no rule of law in Eritrea for the last 32 years. No legislation or legislative body. Isayas is ruling by decree. There is no economy, they are living of the diaspora remittances and the two percent protection fee he collects from every Eritrean diaspora who has relatives and friends. If they don't pay the 2% of their income, then they are barred from the country, their properties confiscated or their relatives kidnapped.
In short, Eritrea is a living hell. There is nothing to be gained from it till the shabya rule and Isayas Afwerki are eliminated.

I pray day and night for the emancipation of Eritreans. God helps them.

Of course I will be very happy to welcome the Eris if the conditions are met and if they are free of the perception of blackmailing Ethiopia to their own wrongly perceived benefit.
With the EPLF and TPLF around, that will never happen.
The Eris are foolish to think that they can outsmart and blackmail to prosperity. That is not going to happen. Ethiopia will get its legal rights to international water one way or the other. It has to wait patiently. Demography, natural resources, population, the competition of Djibouti-Somalia-Kenya-the Sudan for market gives Ethiopia a unique advantage in the region. The Afars and the Arabs had made it clear that they will respect and commit to that. It is the Hamasseins who are promoting the evil agenda against Ethiopia. And the Hamasseins are the one who needed Ethiopia more than anyone in the region.
We will see in our life time that they will be the biggest losers. The Ethiopian God will prevail.
