Why does the Tigray defense force strip captured Ethiopian soldiers of their footwear and force them to walk barefoot?

One gets the impression that Ethiopian troops are taught to surrender rather than fight. 
Did you fine your cousins from one of “captured Ethiopia soldiers” actors? I heard Weyane pays 5 kg wheat/day for playing ENDF POW…I think i would have play too
