Re: WFP Chief in hot waters over cry wolf tweet
What a silly guy the WFP chief is to accuse TPLF of stealing its own fuel? WFP chief should have checked first that the fuel was loaned to WFP by TPLF before he started scribbling on twitter to trash the good name of TPLF in public.
On a series note though, did Ghetachew Reda wake up at 5am this morning to email/call Kjetil Tronvoll to write a damage control tweet?
Eden looks so disturbed at the one after another blunders of TPLF leaders.

Re: WFP Chief in hot waters over cry wolf tweet
Not really Eden. There had not been a single UN personnel who contradicted the allegation. As for the UN source the TPLF white cadre claimed to have existed I wonder if it was Tedros Adhanom.
It is outrageous and foolish to accuse the UN “ politicking” when the truth really bites.
A political entity that has this “ genius” concept of fighting the Ethiopian government relying on the food, gas, and medicine delivered by the UN should — that includes the cadres black and white — have an obligation to be honest to its donor.

DefendTheTruth,
Sharing a tweet is not lying now, is it?
My take is there’s understanding between regional authorities and international actors. The WFP Director either didn’t get the memo or he has his conscious or interest conflict with his bosses.
I remember when some local UN staff were saying something and their bosses in New York fired them. So there’s gap and this is what seems is happening again.
In any case, let’s pray for Ethiopian people who are paying the price.
Sam,
If his UN source is Tedros, then there’s conflict of interest or the perception there of. Has the WFP Director and his Team doubled down and stood by his tweet?

Re: WFP Chief in hot waters over cry wolf tweet
Of course there is a “ conflict of interest” Eden. Tedros definitely has a conflict of interest. Is he foremost the leader of WHO or a TPLF politician. He cannot honestly answer that. But I do. Had the WFP doubled down stood by his tweet you asked. I do not think he has an obligation to answer for every cadre’s rumor.
For us Ethiopians it is not news at all. We know every aid delivered first serve the interest of TPLF and its army, and the leftover might be given to the most in need of food and medicine.

Re: WFP Chief in hot waters over cry wolf tweet
Try using phrases like ‘for me’ or ‘for me as an Ethiopian’
Try representing your own thinking and feeling.
It’s your idea vs. other individuals ideas
It’s not like Ethiopians and you think the same.
You sound like hgdef followers always inserting ‘we Eritreans’ in place of me myself and I
Re: WFP Chief in hot waters over cry wolf tweet
Yes, we need to rely on someone for guidance.....after all, we're 'blind followers', aren't we?
To the main point....
The question isn't who knows what or who gave what to whom.......Whatever the story, the fuel was supposed to be used in alleviating the suffering of, as you claim, the deliberately starved people of Tigray. What your thugs did would take away that supposed higher moral ground from your mafia leaders and their handlers......
That is the crux of the matter.....You can try to spin it until Jesus's second coming, but the damage is already done! But you TPLF cadres are too stupid to see anything beyond your nose! God!

How did you take them out of the "hot waters" in which they were there due to "cry wolf tweet"? Were they hurt?
You are a defender of liars, and you have been that all along.
Fact is that Ethiopia is developing a steadfast generation, which knows and understands how to paddle along the high waves. Ethiopia will move forward, in any case.
People may get killed, but that is an honor to pay a sacrifice for the great country, there is no sweet without a sweat.

Eden, there is a country called Ethiopia. The people in Ethiopia collectively are called Ethiopians. But Ethiopians are individuals as well. They think politics and otherwise individually. That doesn’t mean they do not have issues they are overwhelmingly agree with : that TPLF is a homemade enemy that Ethiopia should get rid of is a sample issue. Do not freak out by phrase we Ethiopians. I have no problem of your saying we Adwans, why you lose temper with we Ethiopians. Try to learn to live with it. I am afraid you have no choice.

DefendTheTruth,
My title tries to capture the mood of the substance in the tweet posted. What’s wrong with that? Is that lying? How?
Sam,
If Ethiopian people overwhelmingly agree to get rid of government of Tigray but Tigray people overwhelmingly agree to keep government of Tigray, will it serve Ethiopian people to get rid of government of Tigray? Now, I’m not asking you what Ethiopian people think or feel. I’m asking for your individual thoughts and feelings.

Re: WFP Chief in hot waters over cry wolf tweet
Yes, I truly believe Tigray will be well served if TPLF is gone. Eden, the whole idea why TPLF is fighting for not clear to anyone. Do not tell me TPLF has been fighting to preserve federalism. That is a lie. They know it, and you know it.
They chose the path of confrontation because they believed they had the right to control Ethiopian politics until the Almighty shows up. That was a wrong political calculus. As minority Tigreans much more benefit in Ethiopia that is united. They should have worked hard to that end.
On the contrary Meles and company chose picking winners and losers. The grooming of Desalegn to be prime minister is the prime example. They believed in the south where countless ethnic group live he could not muster to have a "threating" force to Tigray hegemony.
Eden, it is in TPLF's DNA to see politcs in the we versus them prism. They have a hard time believing in the very existence of a country called Ethiopia .
There are millions of Tigreans who are proud of their being Ethiopian . At the moment, it is a silenced voice. But it will not always be.
Tigray needs a regional government that believes being a regional government is not a prelude to have nonstop infighting with the fededal government. The TPLF leaders have believed because Tigreans have died in thouands to overthrew the Derg government , they had the right to rule Ethiopia , if not the power to choose who would be.
That was why poor young Tigreans were killed in thouands recently.
If you believe outside of Tigray TPLF has any support, you are badly mistaken.
Yes, Tigreans will benefit greatly if they have a regional government that the rest of Ethiopia would not consider as enemy.

Let me rephrase
If Ethiopian people overwhelmingly agree to get rid of government of Gurage but Gurage people overwhelmingly agree to keep government of Gurage, will it serve Ethiopian people to get rid of government of Gurage?
