I am not sure about which "revelations" you are talking about here, I came across Obbo Taye Dende'a's post with regard to what happened in the Regional Parliament on the Facebook but couldn't finish till the end. He basically raised issues he is in disagreement with the other members of the body, which is a welcome sign for democracy to nurture in the country. It shows how open the system has become, in the old days such critical view in the public would have meant a final day under the sun.

This is a progress for the country in the right direction, thanks to PP for making this possible.

One of the points he raised in his arguments is the call for accountability in the party and the regional government and safeguard the interest of the wider public, all unseen before the rule of current PP, which opted to depart its way from that of the former EPRDF.

Now we have heard the voices of those who hold critical views and the subsequent step is the follow up and clarify where the truth lies and bring those responsible to account. People do know their true interests well.

Abiy reports and is accountable to the party and not the other way around. It is the party that can remove Abiy, not the party get removed by Abiy.

If the party decides to take the same old route, then Abiy and any other remaining officials of the party who may choose to disagree could only decide to depart their own respective way, not dismanle the party.

If there is a democracy then members of the party are accountable to the party structure and the party itself is accountable to the people, the electorate.

If what Obbo Taye Dende'a alleged is nearly a truth, then my feeling is that it could get worth before getting any better for the country, I don't want to wish a bad omen here but would like to be honest. We (the people) should get prepared to make a rational decision and choose the lesser evil at all junctures.

No, Shimels is not too big to jail. He is there because he is a necessary part of Abiy's plan- whatever that plan is. Here is why? Independent of Shimels' behavior Abiy is taking action indicative of his inner thoughts. Abiy intentionally illegalizes (like Tigres) the Ethiopian flag. Abiy intentionally defended the waving of Oromo flag in a multiethnic school, so on . These kinds of illegal and forceful Oromization of multiethnic Ethiopia is the foolish preoccupation of the novice Shimels. Abiy may have other reasons why he needs Shimelis such as support base in a larger Oromo population. In any event, things don't look good for Abiy for the simple reason that he has lost the true spinal cord of the Ethiopian politics. The backbone of Ethiopian politics in Ethiopia, not Oromo, not Amara, not Tgiray, not Somalia etc ..... You lose that spinal cord - you become የውሃ ላይ ኩበት!

First of all, the LFs agenda is still in power and not Ethiopian. Many perished under Tplf trying to destroy anti Ethiopianism. But it is still in power and marching.
