Crab mentality, also known as crab theory, crabs in a bucket mentality, or the crab-bucket effect, is a way of thinking best described by the phrase "if I can't have it, neither can you". The metaphor is derived from a pattern of behavior noted in crabs when they are trapped in a bucket

5. Somalian there religion help them to be honest .. they respect people property right

6. trust .. this is there national asset,,,,, even the Western Bank work on trust .. but the Somali it is next to their nature ... Ethiopian used be like that but no more you dont even your own family when it come to trust. every deal work with hand shake because they have their rule written in Quran

and this and other attitude of the Somalian propel them to be one of very successful economy by end of this ten years.

even this black guy understand Somalian why they r the best business ...

Here in the horn of Africa lies Somalia a country most known to us because of Piracy, Al-Shabab and biggest consumer of khat.

A country that has struggled with instability for almost 30 years now.
Some even call it a failed state with an extremely hostile political and business environment.

So Why are they the most entrepreneurial people in and outside Africa? Look, I will share with you a side about Somalia that sees past the conflict, khat and piracy.

Aside about business Somalis want us to learn from them as Africans

That's good, as their neighbor, we should wish them well, Professor EthoAsh. But, what about Tigray, the home of your golden people? Will it do the same? I honestly hope so. I hope the same for my Oromia and all over Ethiopia actually.

The crab mentality is completely unknown among Somalis, and any Somali would tell you that such mentality is evil, wicked, and profoundly immoral.

The opposite is quite prevalent among Somalis, which is, "If I can have it, you also can have it.", and from this perspective, we help each other and share tips etc.,, as we believe that there's no correlation between what different people get or might not get, or simply lose.

I've noticed Ethiopians and Eritreans have individualistic tendency and are more self-centred. Although you smile at each other, in reality, you're hidden rivals, which is not good at all. Jealousy is also common among Ethiopians and Eritreans.
