Please tell me, why is it so, necessary and important to be a killil? I am asking this because I don't know. Again what are the benefits to be a killil?

Horus, i have no idea why everyone wanted killil. that is why I ask. Do not think i was being sarcastic. I just don't get it why everyone wants to be killil and what the benefits are, that really the reason for my question.

I am not for sure but who ever the leader of Gurage is a gurage person. to me that is self administration. Next time, when you don't know and understand something, say I DON"T KNOW! it is okay you don't have to know everything no one does.

You see i had an idea why some people wanted killil, the elites. I don't think the normal people will benefit anything but the elites do. So, you may be an elite of your people and i can understand if you want killil. I am just guessing and that was a reason i inquired you. and you are just like me, you don't or because you are an elite, i can see you it may incriminate you i.e. you don't want to tell me.

Killil is all about other people’s money and land.

Under a functioning democratic federal system, political autonomy comes with a taxing power and the ability to contribute to federal coffers. Population is the pillar of a federalism system. Commendable.

But the Ethiopian federal system is fraudulent.
While the Amharas and Ormos are 80% of the population,the last 27 years, the Weyannies allocate a huge budget to Tigrai which is 6% of the population.

Who ever controls the federal government controls the allocation. Right now the Oromos are taking more than their shares.

Since Ethiopia is under developed with a primitive economy it’s export income is very low. Much of its budget money comes from foreign countries through loan and donations.

So what Tigrai has spent in Tigrai or looted out of the country is a debt on the Amaharas and Oromos. What the Oromos overspend today is a debt on the Amharas tomorrow.
The Guraghies, Welayeta and other minorities also want a Killil to take their share of the loot that will be paid by the larger population.

Dysfunctional - criminal and anti future generation.

Do not blame the minorities who are demanding Killil but denounce the entire system

Nice catch. You nailed him.
Let them be Killil or even a country.
It is not always about other people money there are also responsibilities.

Let that be the Oromo’s headache. I don’t think there’s such thing called Southern tribe. The south has to split between Oromo and Amaharas. The Amharas at some point may have to look after themselves. Otherwise they will end up being debt payers.
