You mean the new hardworking and peace building Ethiopian Prime Minister, Dr, Abiy whom the Ethiopian people trust greatly and elected him to the leadership position in a free, fair and transparent democratic election to lead Mamma Ethiopia for the first time in 3000 years and whom the whole world got together and awarded him the Grand Gold Medal for peace? Any one who supports him and speaks for him is also the same as supporting his own self and speaking for him/her interest too. Logic fascinates me many many times more than material.

I am one of those people who haven’t read the scriptures in detail. I don’t know if it would make me more contrarian than I am already. People who have often quote it.

The speaker’s passant reference to the Exodus quickly reminded me my intuitive reaction to sebdoyeley when he was taking on the visit, not exodus, of the legendary Queen Saba. I don’t mean to say I said so or gotcha. I am going back to it in case it can enrich our understanding of ancient African history.

Somebody recently said that Moses was the most famous person on the planet during his time that the ancient Greeks admired. I don’t know if it is true.

The passant comment about the Exodus that fascinated me most is the story of the contrarians to the Exodus. I admit that I did not know about them until now. The fascinating logical question is if Africa in general and our region in particular, and even the world at large, would be better off today if the idea of the contrarians to the Exodus won and the African Pharaoh Moses, according to Sigmund Freud, went back to Egypt. The Egyptian Ahmed Osman has tried to corroborate Freud’s account of history and adds that it was a consequence of palace intrigue. One can draw a remote analogy between that and the one after the 1974 revolution in Ethiopia.

So, sebdoyeley, would we be better off today if Pharaoh Moses went back to Egypt heeding the advice of his contrarians? Just a bit of brain exercise here. Like everybody else, we sleep and we wake up.
