Back then Prof. Merera was still a Dr., it is under the current PM that he was allowed to have the professorship title.

Why was not Merara earned professorship before Abiy Ahmed?

Was he not published or did contribute enough to research and academia in the field? It sounds he got this new title much the same way as False Marshal Berhanu Jula

Honestly, Merara Gudina and Gemechu are just jokes. They are good for nothing. They have been repeaing of the benefits of their affilations with OLF, which is created by TPLF. OLF is a servant of TPLF, it does not have indepedent brain.
