Declare independence.
I think that will be good for both societies. If that happens then all Tigrains have to be deported from Ethiopia. Otherwise it will be the same headache. If they wish they can come back and live legally and through heavy surveillance. They can’t have it both ways. They have been spoiled.

Tigray is not mentioned in history until 1500 AD after the spread of medri bahri Kebbesa Tigrinya replacing Geez language in Tigray but not all people in tigray spoke Geez only Aksum-Yeha-Adwa spoke Geez.
