Shida, that plastic sandal which every Eritrean fighter wore for more than 25 years, has become an iconic symbol of Eritrean independence struggle. There is even a monument to it in Asmara. But even this Eritrean icon is not safe from the addicted TigThieves. The pictures speak for themselves!
