Saying that I am glad the Ethiopian national team was a better team in the last Ethiopia against Egypt game and thus deserved to win.
But the bizarre behavior of majority of the Ethiopians in the social media changing a beautiful supposedly unifying and befriending one another to brutal politics and insulting and name calling the Egyptians is bizarre and disgusting and the ones who acted nasty need to learn sports fair play attitude.
Come on now, we all know Egypt is one of football giants of Africa which needs to be appreciated as an African team and as both countries played before (including me as an Ethio national team player against Egypt in Dire Dawa (friendly game) they will also play numerous games in the future and it will be very bad when the Egyptians beat Ethiopia and make fun of Ethiopia. That is not what sport is all about.
I don’t want to dampen the spirit of the nasty Ethiopian fans of social media (I am not saying every Ethiopian acted as such) but there are two games left which will decide which teams go to the next round and which two teams go home (Egypt against Malawi and Ethiopia against Guinea….and I think Ethiopia and Guinea will play in Guinea ) and since 4 of them have 3 points each, the winners of the next two games or which ever will have a goal advantage will go to the next round. Now what happens if Egypt beat Malawi (which I believe will do and Guinea beats Ethiopia which I don’t hope) who will have the last laugh?
So why the premature ejaculation of the ones who are acting ugly?
Again, I am also cheering for Ethiopia to go to the next round, but if I was an Ethiopian I wouldn’t be as nasty as some of the Ethiopians I am reading in social media.

There is no enemy in sports. Countries do not make enemies based in sports. What ever problem there are with countries, there are foreign officers which can handle them and solve them and sports is a vehicle to produce friendship.
Good thing you are not a decision maker in the Ethiopian football federation. You could have probably forfeit this game saying that you don’t want to play against ‘an enemy country’.
And I never said that Ethiopia can’t win a game with out Eritreans either.
I said that the only time Ethiopia became an AFCON champion was only when 9 players out of the 11 roaster Ethiopian national team players were Eritreans. And that is still a fact until Ethiopians do it with no Eritrean in their roaster, and I hope that day comes to the football enthusiast Ethiopians.

This is the fact but you want talk shi't to Ethiopia who recently defeated South Africa,
Algeria and Egypt, and many more African countries, tied with Nigeria too. In the past 30 years alone, Ethiopia has won the East African Cup and were in the African Cup twice.
