Nice but at the same time it is sad that we have failed to undertake minor improvements to Bahir Dar stadium and were left with not a single FIFA/CAF graded stadium and had to play in a third country, Malawi. What a humiliation! It seems our government has always money for events and celebrations but not for doing minor things to spare us from this humiliation. I'm ashamed!

This was a complete domination by Ethiopia, Egypt was totally out competed and beaten.

As i have said it before Ethiopian individual players have been world class players for so long we just never got the attention because our team work lacks defensively. Every Ethiopian is a natural midfielder! Even in this game Egypt could not keep up with the Ethiopians in the middle. Whenever Africans or South Americans see a good Ethiopian play, they ask if he is a Brazilian. We get that evey time!

But it seems the defense is organized inviting the midfielders to attack more so we start seeing this type of result now. We still need to work on attacking. This is a historic and a milestone

Egypt was run by Ethiopia, basically. We man handled them too. Ethiopian hidden natural skills and talents are yet to be out completlly! Our midfield was so dominant Egypt could not even come near our goal

Our goali was busy watching the game.

Kudos to the ethiopian national team. Great display of footbal . I am sure our tigrian cousins are mad because their last hope was dashed.
