1 of the many reasons, why we hate the ugume.

Thread- Why those that reduce our trauma to inconsequential events, need to distil a trauma informed politics.
By @EriPrism

______

We, Eritreans, bear unaddressed trauma inflicted by successive Ethiopian occupying forces (1952-1991). The trauma inflicted by the TPLF (1993-2018) though, is the worst.

The TPLF inflicted trauma is the worst because of its timing, gravity, consequences, and the precious lives/opportunities lost....

To understand the TPLF inflicted trauma, might be good to reflect on what people felt in 1998-2000. 👇 Statement of an elderly Eritrean, from Kisad-Ika.

From now on we don’t want any relationship with these people [TPLF]...... But we respect our gov't & have not taken any revenge.…These are very cruel people [TPLF] and cruel soldiers. They left us only with stones. Maybe they’ll come and take these as well.

Kisad-Ika, bears more witnesses of TPLF inflicted trauma on the Eritrean people. In 2000, the village was stripped bare & infested with landmines.

A foreigner stands witness:

A short time before we arrive, a small girl is killed by a landmine attached to a biscuit tin.

TPLF atrocities are like inscriptions on the rocks, as many who bore the brunt of TPLF cruelty would echo.

.... TPLF soldiers are terrible—full of hate and spite. Other groups-the Amhara and the Oromo-they’re okay with us; they even give us little things. In this recent war [1998-2000], it is clear that while the Amhara and Oromo soldiers are required to fight, the Tigrayans [TPLF] are desperate to crush Eritrea....

It's this TPLF spite we must overcome for peaceful coexistence with our N. Ethiopian neighbours.

These are only, the tip of the iceberg. Accounts of rape, killing, uprooting are on record even if TPLF & enablers attempt to hide it.

To soberminded people, we ask for nothing but understand our pain. We say, NEVER understate our trauma of TPLF's horrifc weapon of war.

Time isn't on woyanes side....That is the dilemma for these idiots!

Whether they make peace with the Abiy government or keep insisting on the well-trodden road, it's a win for Eritrea.......assuming that the axiom- monopoly of violence/force in a given political territory is reserved for a government- is the basis of the peace deal!

Here is a good news from our land:

This project doesn't require an expensive processing plant like that of Bisha. The first phase is to extract copper by crushing and loading the ores into containers and sending them to Massawa using hundreds of trucks a day. The smelter in China will process the copper there in China. This saves the project millions of dollars.

When it reaches a Gold and Silver mining stage, then a processing plant will be installed near Debarwa.

To avoid heavy traffic created by these trucks on the Asmara - Massawa road, the trucks may use the new “Semanwi Bahri” or the Bet Gergish – Beleza – Adi Nifas route.

That's some messed up stuff they did, what book did you get those quotes from? May look into buying it.
The Tigrayans have to see things like this, to understand why their neighbors to the north are so determined to be united against them, it's for a very valid reason, not hatred based on their ethnicity alone.
