Opposition parties have formed a caucus.
Around ten opposition parities who have complaints on how the process of National dialogue is taking place have notified forming a caucus with the suggestion of coming up with an alternative National dialogue that will result in a democratic system.
The press release reminded how “the government while the discussions were in progress and the stakeholders were debating the best way to organize
the national dialogue, the government unilaterally prepared a bill regulating the process and passed it through the one party dominated parliament ignoring
the concerns of the political parties.” The press release also addressed the selection of The national dialogue committee as dubious and held in a process that violates the fundamental principles of national dialogue.
The press release made the following remarks
- An immediate, real cessation of hostilities and Internationally monitored ceasefire in all areas in Ethiopia.
- Assurance by the government that it and key stakeholders take steps to restructure a commission and the edit regulating the process in a way that makes the process inclusive, representative and genuine.
- In the agenda setting process, there shall be a clear and transparent process that accommodates agenda presentation and approval by all stakeholders without discrimination.
- We demand provision that permit involvement and engagement of credible, neutral facilitators or mediators from the international community take part in the National dialogue process when deemed necessary.

9. OROMO LIBERATION FRONT(OLF)
10. WOLAYTA NATIONAL MOVEMENT (WNM)
Ubuntu had a chance to speak with the chairman of Afar people’s party Musa Adem on the formation of the caucus and Mr. Musa had the following to say “Even though political parties might have different stands when it comes to the taking place of a credible national dialogue we all have the same stand.”
It is remembered that Ubuntu has reported the possibility of this type of caucus being formed months back.

በሀገራዊ የምክክር መድረክ አካሄድ ላይ መሰረታዊ ቅሬታ አለን ያሉ 10 የሚደርሱ የተቃዋሚ የፖለቲካ ፓርቲዎች
"እውነተኛ የዴሞክራሲ ስርአትን የሚያስገኝ ሀገራዊ ውይይት አማራጭን ለማቅረብ የሚያስችል የምክክር ቤት (Caucus) አቋቁመናል" ሲሉ በዛሬው ዕለት ባወጡት መግለጫ አሳውቀዋል።
ሀገራዊ ምክክር በምን መልኩ ይካሄድ በሚለው ላይ ክርክሮች እየተደረጉ ባለበት ወቅት " መንግስት ሂደቱን የሚቆጣጠር ረቂቅ ህግ በማዘጋጀት በአንድ ፓርቲ የበላይነት ባለው ፓርላማ በኩል የፖለቲካ ፓርቲዎችን ጥያቄ እና የግብአት ሀሳብ ችላ በማለት እንዲፀድቅ ማድረጉን ያስታወሰው የፓርቲዎቹ መግለጫ የኮሚሽነሮቹን ምርጫም "የተድበሰበሰ" ነበር ሲል ኮንኗል።
በትጥቅ እየተፋለሙ የሚገኙ አካላትን ወደ ምክክሩ ለመጋበዝ የተቀመጠ ድንጋጌ አለመኖሩን የነቀፈው የምክክር ቤቱ መግለጫ "አማራጭ" በተባለው አዲስ የምክክር ቤት (Caucus) በኩልም
ለመንግስት በርከት ያሉ ምክረሀሳቦችንም አቅርቧል።
በምክረሀሳቦቹም ላይ:-
-አፋጣኝ እና አለም አቀፍ ተቋማት የሚቆጣጠሩት የተኩስ ማቆም በሁሉም የኢትዮጵያ ክፍሎች ላይ እንዲደረግ
-የምክክር ኮሚሽኑ በድጋሜ እንዲቋቋም እና ኮሚሽነሮቹም ገለልተኛ በሆነ መንገድ እንዲመረጡ
- የውይይት አጀንዳዎቹ ሁሉንም ባሳተፈ መልኩ እንዲቀረፁ እንዲሁም
-ውይይቶቹ አለም አቀፍ ታዛቢ በተገኘበት እንዲደረጉ
አሳስቧል።

"ፓርቲዎቹ በተለያየ ጉዳይ ላይ የተለያየ አቋም ቢኖራቸውም ሀገራዊ ምክክሩ በሀቀኛ መንገድ መከናወን አለበት የሚለው ላይ ግን የማያወላዳ የጋራ አቋም አላቸው፤ አማራጭ የምክክር ቤት ለማቋቋም የወሰነውም ለዚህ ነው"
ብለዋል።
