President of the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Vladimir Putin has sent a congratulatory message to President of the FDRE H.E. Amb. Sahle-Work Zewde and Prime Minister of the FDRE H.E. Dr. Abiy Ahmed on the occasion of the Day of Victory of Democratic Forces also known as the Derg Downfall Day.

Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the National Holiday of Ethiopia – the Day of Victory of Democratic Forces.
Relations between Russia and Ethiopia are based on good traditions of friendship and mutual respect. I am confident that with joint efforts we will be able to secure further development of the constructive bilateral cooperation in various areas for the benefit of our peoples, with a view to strengthening regional security and stability.
