Why is everyone beating on the Amara people?

This has become a habitual "sport" in Ethiopian politics since the 1974 revolution. Everyone has since been beating on the Amhara/Amara people.
To my knowledge, there is little the majority of the Amara people benefited from Ethiopia more than anyone else. Up to the recent past, most Amara towns did not have roads, schools, clinics, electric supply, proper drinking water, police service , ...
Until recently, even many of the Amaras did not know or identify of being an Amara. The only identity they knew was Ethiopia and "Ethiopiawnet".
Why is everyone else beating on the Amara people then?
If the Oromos, Afars and the Tigrayans are arming in hundreds of thousands, why is the Amara forced to disarm by the Abiy regime when there are wars raging on their borders with Sudan, Tigray, Oromia, Beneshangul Gumuz ... ?
What is the point of disarming the Amara now when there is no legitimate ceasefire with Sudan, Tigray, Gumuz and the Oromo OLA Shene?
