The likes of Menelik are obstacle to bring peace and stability. After killing Haile Selassie, Ethiopian kids had the best of their life. In stead singing for Selassie, they started singing for Ethiopia. they were taught internationally accepted scientific norms and ideas. Marxism-Leninism has been the norm for long time. Now still, Ethiopian youth is free of the feudalism it made Ethiopian people treat like slaves.
Menelik, Ras Desta, Gebremariam, Bole etc are feudalists. We need to forget them and let our schools, streets and hospital carry the names of saints and non-controversial Ethiopian figures. Bury Menelik, the slave. Bury feudalism.
