It is inappropriate to call Eritreans Tigrayans. They are not Tigrayans. They are migrants from Sudan or Dembia ( Amhara Gonder). Thus we should be careful in putting Eritreans as Tigrayans. The land called Eritrea belonged to Tigray.
We need to detach ourselves from Eritreans and see them as our enemies. The land Eritrea should be returned to Tigray at some time in the future, specially The Red Sea Coastal Area.
By the way the Eritreans see Tigrayans as their enemies. This is my personal experience, when in early seventies, Tigrayans were feared by Eritreans but seen as a group of people that needed to be attacked. I think Tigrayans are naive regarding Eritreans. Eritreans use the word "our cousins" to attack or insult Tigrayans. They do not mean it. Eritreans and Amara have been allying against Tigrayans for some time - maybe 20 years. There is much hate against Tigrayans by Eritreans. WE need to make our region safe for Tigrayans. It seems we need to displace Eritreans from our ancestral lands to Sudan. This should be done gradually and secretly. Eritreans understand the language of force only. We cannot speak to them reason. It is too late.

Eritrea invaded Tigray and was the main actor in the genocide of Tigray people. Thus calling Eritreans our brothers and sisters is wrong. In fact it is joking upon those Tigrayans who were raped, killed en mass, their homes burnt etc. Eritreans speak Tigrigna which is not similar to Tigray. Their music and the way they dance is different from Tigray. Tigray does not need Eritreans to assert itself a power. No Eritrean group has helped Tigray.
We need to be clear and identify our enemies. Eritreans are our enemies and have never been friends of Tigray. History and wars have their own logic. A confused population cannot win any war. It may win some battles. But to win a war such as now for Tigray, Tigrayans should know who their enemies and allies are. For example, the Oromos are our allies, even though we have little historical connection. The Agew people are also Tigray's allies. Gumuz, Gambella and other tribes in South Ethiopia are Tigray's allies. We should rather form alliances with those who mutually support and respect us. With Eritrea, we need to fight against Eritrea and displace the population in Eritrea to Sudan or to Central Africa or to Europe as some are adept using boats to flee to Europe. We should have a mindset that Eritrea is our fatal enemy and has to be destroyed. Otherwise we end up loosing everything we have achieved up to now.
