Abiy with contempt as Meshrefet/margebgebia to imply that he is unanchored, superficial, lightheaded and useless person just spitting hot air. After the Mekelle retreat Seyoum Mesfin, Abbai Tsehaye, Debrestion, all TPLF called Abiy Meshrefet with certainty that they’d dislodge him from power in a matter of days and he’s no match to them. But Meshrefet proved that he is really margebgebia when he showed that he was prepared to fight them. One of the funniest part of Meshrefet‘s devious plan (he always gives you the appearance of foolish as that has profound effect on the psyche of the people who matter in the end) was televising the visit of Isayas Afeworki showing old air force jets to send message to TPLF that he only had old jets and there was dance in Mekelle of how old the fleet were.
But Meshrefet decimated TPLF in 2 weeks and took out or arrested the formidable ones leaving TPLF to the ones who will function by emotion and muscle to let them double-triple down with their own mistakes and destruction.
I believe that no Ethiopian could have ever been well situated to tackle TPLF as Meshrefet did. Not Berhanu Nega, not Lemma Megersa, not Merera, not Beyene. Maybe some in ANDM or OPDO but no one better than Meshrefet would have the advantage of knowing TPLF from the inside for so long. If Meshrefet‘s legacy is to be prioritized, the way he victoriously defeated and keeps weakening TPLF is his most important historic achievement.
The most important point of this thread is after Meshrefet TPLF’in endeFasika dorro kegenettatelat behuala, No Tegaru ever called him Meshrefet. Not Migbey, not Tadesse, not General Raya Beer in Mekelle ever used that word ever again.
