That is nonsense. TPLF has no the power, the morale, and the financial means to wage war against Ethiopia again. There are valid reasons to substantiate this fact. One, the dam has reached to a point it cannot be stopped. Egypt as a result might not be willing to sponsor war within Ethiopia again. Second, the Amhara regions that neighbors Tigray are well prepared for the next invasion. The marathon that TDF displayed will not be repeated. Third, the Tigray sleeper cells who played a big role in sabotaging the people in Amhara regions where they have lived are no longer there to repeat another betrayal. Fourth, the TPLF handlers in Biden administration are finally come to realize TPLF is a regional power, not a national one. Susan Rice and company will not bet in the TPLF behalf confidently.
Fifth, the OLF fighting force which TPLF counts as an ally is in the process of disintegration from within. It is in the process of fighting with the people it claims to liberate.
Sixth, the many smaller ethnic group which TPLF used to instigate civil unrest within Ethiopia like the Agew, Sidama and many more now realize TPLF means a perpetual crises. They know that TPLF and peace cannot be spoken in the same sentence.
Why then the need to write the letter to UN then . As the war in Ukraine goes on, TPLF seemed to have been forgotten. It is a cry for help. Do not forget us please kind of message. Nothing more.

I tend to disagree with your overall assessment.

1) TPLF still has intact wealth, frenzy supporters around the globe; its crime business is financing lobbyists, big media corporations, UN WFP, NGOs etc. are channeling resources to TPLF under the pretext of hunger, destruction etc. TPLF is collecting its breath, re-organizing after its defeat in Amhara region and Afar. The most effective window for TPLF to re-appear in the battlefield is during Kiremit season, because its worst nightmare Amhara Fano might be busy in the rainy agricultural season, green rainy season spares TPLF from heavy attack.

2) It is true the Amhara region can be a successful check on the TPLF. Had the Amhara Fano not wiped the TPLF rag tags, by now, TPLF would have been at 4 kilo. Unofficially, Amhara Fano is the Defense Force of Ethiopia. Unfortunately, Amhara people are fade up with ENDF and Abiy Ahmed for the Abiy Ahmed government been repeatedly wasted their victory and been working under the table deals with criminal TPLF. Recently, his conspiring ENDF forces attempted to raid Fano head quarter at Woldiya, but stopped after it lost the fight. What does this imply? TPLF now learnt, Abiy Ahmed and ENDF can no more rally Amhara people behind himself when he cries out for help, because he is a repeat liar and a repeat cheater.
3) Egypt is not a significant factor. The Nile agenda is just more of a propaganda stunt to attract citizens attention.
4) There are more Tigray sleeper cells than before. Every day about 20,000 Tigres are migrating into Amhara region, mainly into Kobo, Alamata, Woldiya. TPLF highly infiltrated into Amhara lands and have them ready to strike when the rainy season comes.

5) No, the TPLF handles have not given up yet. They will never ever stop because supporting minority is their best option. What do you think COVID-19 Cesar Tedros Adhanom is doing now? Their handlers too are waiting for the right time. Why have they been talking bad about Amhara and Eritrea? They for sure know these are the only deadly force to crush the TPLF snake head.

Abere , we see the whole issue differently. That is fine. But I want to make one point clear. The West, particularly US, has no special affinity to TPLF. That is what the TPLF guys want you to believe, but not true.
The US used to believe what was fed by TPLF : TPLF is a formidable force that holds Ethiopia together. When TPLF goes down, so does Ethiopia. Even when the US envoys try to play a mediation between the parties this mind set was evident. But today, it is clear to the West TPLF is a regional power which has no that much influence in the larger Ethiopian politics.
Yes, there are ethnic politics worshippers from other ethnic groups who have wanted TPLF to resurrect, but they are individuals, not society as a whole.
The more we exaggerate the TPLF power, the more Ethiopia will be sidetracked.
Yes, TPLF wishes to do everything in its power to create an Ethiopia in its own image, but the capability of doing it is shrinking everyday.
The only point I have not thought about that you pointed out that I agree with is yes the sleeper cells might have been replaced already. That is a very good point.

እዚህ ላይ ነው የአበረ ሃሳብም ትክክል የሚሆነው፤ ትግሬዎቹ አዲስ አበባን በጦር መያዝ አይችሉም ነገር ግን ባገር ውስጥም ባለም ላይም ሁከትና ቀውስ በመፍጠር የአቢይ መንግስትን ውጥረትና አጣብቂኝ ውስጥ የማቆየት ሪሶርስ አላቸው ። ማለትም ዲስራፕቲቭ ካፓሲቲ አላቸው ። አቢይ አህመድ መንግስቱን ከጎሳ ቆሻሻ ንትርክ አላቆ ጽኑ የኢትዮጵያዊያን አንድነት መፍጠር ስላልፈለገ ትግሬዎቹ በዚያ ክፍተት ዝሆን ሊያስገቡበት መሞከራቸው የሚጠበቅ ነው ።

ይህም ሆነ ያ ለአማራና አፋር ሕዝብ ይህ ተራ ውይይት አይደለም። በውነት የክረምት ወረራ እንደ ሚኖር በማመን ራሳቸውን ማደራጀት አለባቸው ። አሁንም በድጋሚ በትግሬ ኩታራ ከተወረሩ ጥፋቱ የነሱ ነው የሚሆነው ።

Abiy is more concerned about how to destroy Fano than fighting to save the country from the impending TPLF invasion. All indications are that TPLF will be going for the second invasion in the coming few months, if not weeks. TPLF has been supplied with enough armaments including probably with drones and anti-drones. The military, as has been demonstrated in the first go, could be sabotaged from within and by the lack of decisiveness by the commander in chief. It pains me to see the unnecessary loss of soldiers lives because of shortsighted political mischiefs.

The PM is at a cross road. He has amply demonstrated, by his deeds, that he is more focused on building Oromo hegemony than advocating for strong united Ethiopia that respects individual rights. As such, he prefers the comradeship of TPLF than working with Ethiopia centered political groups. The recent frequent "trainings" of the Military officers and PP cadres and the saber-rattling today show that he is sensing the shifting ground under his feet.

The Afars are still battling against the TPLF invasion with no support from the Military. The same is expected to happen in Amhara Region soon. The problem is , Amhara is hand-tied by the feds not to train enough Liyu and those who are already in the service are being demoralized and subjected to intense scrutiny. One only needs to recall why General Tefera and five other Generals and Liyu officers were unceremoniously discharged just a few weeks after TPLF retreated back to MeQelle.

My fear is Abiy may order the Military to go hard on Fano and create an opportunity for TPLF to advance to Menilik Palace with no much of a resistance. That will herald the era of civil war the magnitude of which is never seen before. The hate that TPLF has for the Amhara people have gotten TPLF and Tigre people where they are at now, and same hate driven action by the PM and his ethnic base will definitely yield a repeat of a result that has proven itself in the last two short years.

spot on. To frame FANO as a threat is his biggest miscalculation .clearly, he has no intention of finishing TPLF and bringing peace to the whole country.

እዚህ ላይ ነው የአበረ ሃሳብም ትክክል የሚሆነው፤ ትግሬዎቹ አዲስ አበባን በጦር መያዝ አይችሉም ነገር ግን ባገር ውስጥም ባለም ላይም ሁከትና ቀውስ በመፍጠር የአቢይ መንግስትን ውጥረትና አጣብቂኝ ውስጥ የማቆየት ሪሶርስ አላቸው ። ማለትም ዲስራፕቲቭ ካፓሲቲ አላቸው ። አቢይ አህመድ መንግስቱን ከጎሳ ቆሻሻ ንትርክ አላቆ ጽኑ የኢትዮጵያዊያን አንድነት መፍጠር ስላልፈለገ ትግሬዎቹ በዚያ ክፍተት ዝሆን ሊያስገቡበት መሞከራቸው የሚጠበቅ ነው ።

ይህም ሆነ ያ ለአማራና አፋር ሕዝብ ይህ ተራ ውይይት አይደለም። በውነት የክረምት ወረራ እንደ ሚኖር በማመን ራሳቸውን ማደራጀት አለባቸው ። አሁንም በድጋሚ በትግሬ ኩታራ ከተወረሩ ጥፋቱ የነሱ ነው የሚሆነው ።
