Dr. Tedros didn’t have to minimize others’ (Ukrainians’) pain just to push his to the spotlight. Especially as WHO head, you don’t show you’re feeling bad/envy/jealousy of how Ukrainians are being assisted after 2-3 million refugees and the mayhem visited on their country only to show your loyalty to your tribe.
Tedros took sides and is clueless of what others talk behind him. For Europeans, we are tribalist with no rational thinking. EU/US/UN know that he didn’t say anything about clinics harmed by TPLF. When the West says “we denounce any civilian attack by ALL SIDE”, our Tedros doesn’t mention (slides it under the carpet) the health institutions attacked by his organization in Afar and Amhara.
Moreover, EU/US/UN know why Tedros called in sick to micromanage TPLF’s November 2020 attack against northern command and don’t give him ears as a biased and non-neutral party having a skin in the game.
Whites are not what they were in 2020 or early 2021. The Tigray narrative has changed:
They describe TPLF as a force “27 years in power” and Tigrians as “REBELS who’re revolting against the central government for power they lost.” No on calls them freedom fighters or ones fighting for ulterior motive or lofty goals. When they do their copy/paste “news” - if they prefix your name to 27 years in dictatorial power…., rest assured they’re saying they don’t sympathize with your cause but nonetheless that they’re sad for what you’ve put the civilians into.
TPLF failed miserably in its hidden agenda of using “Genocide” as excuse to reinstate minority/expansionist rule just as by being a copycat to the fortunes enjoyed by Tutsis and Jews.
Even the initial Western outrage has subsided as Abiy has successfully reset Wolkite to pre-1991 and controversialized the land as taken by force when TPLF took power.
Now looky at what Macron is saying -
Even after the carpet bombing and missile attacks by Russia and million exiled, look how sensitive the word is:
Why did he insert “these days” at the end? Where else is “genocide” claimed THESE DAYS? Of course only in Tigray. This gives us a sneak peek into the minds of EU/US/UN movers and shakers and how lathergic they’re feeling about the harping of the word by TPLF robots.““So far, it has been established that war crimes were committed by the Russian army and that it is now necessary to find those responsible and bring them to justice,” Macron stated. “I am very careful with some terms [genocide] these days.””

https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2 ... -genocide/““Genocide has a meaning,” Macron told the France 2 television broadcaster on Wednesday. “The Ukrainian people and the Russian people are brethren people.”
“What is happening is madness, it’s a brutality that’s unheard of,” he added. “But at the same time I am looking at the facts, and I want to do as much as possible to continue trying to stop this war and rebuild peace. So I’m not sure that an escalation of words serves the cause.””
He’s telling Biden to not trivialize the word genocide and he’s saying specially these days, he’s finding it as a “bad joke” to thrown the word for your narrow political agenda.
That said I’m not discounting the harms and atrocities that people in Tigray, Amhara and Afar had suffered. Atrocious have to be investigated and dealt with but the context is not such as that framed by TPLF to justify its minority rule if it had it its way.
