Seriously, if Ethiopia was for decolonization of much of Africa and for pan Africa by 1963, for Ethiopia from north to south by 1974, how could it devolve into sectarian politics by 1991, and efforts by some elements to destabilize it by 2005?
I can't help asking this question over and over after a brief reading the other day about የኢትዮጵያ ጭቁን ሕዝቦች አብዮታዊ ትግል. The other Ethiopian political organizations around 1974 that I read about include የኅብረተሰብአዊት ኢትዮጵያ ጊዜያዊ ወታደራዊ መንግሥት, የኢትዮጵያ ሕዝባዊ አብዮታዊ ፓርቲ, መላ ኢትዮጵያ ሶሻሊስት ንቅናቄ, የኢትዮጵያ ዲሞክራስያዊ ህብረት. I did not know much about people like the late Baro Tumsa and Galasa Dilbo belonging to national Ethiopian political organization around 1974.
