how interesting.

I am not attached to any political party in the country, I try my best to reflect on my own personal opinion, when I comment here, which deemed to be good for the country and our future, according to my own personal view.

His speech seemed to me a reflection of what I already said after watching the inauguration of this liberary, before months.

The next time I will visit my country, I will bring a number of books that I kept to myself so far and donate them to the library in the country, this one or any other. This way the books will be available not only to me but also to more people and will be shared with more people, without losing any of the value in them.

If 100 peoples may make just 10 books available to the library, which will make 1000 books available to the readers and accessible to millions over a relatively short period of time. That is transformation we need for our society.

I didn't visit my country yet since then and didn't fulfill my promise from then. If someone contacts me, like the PM is saying to organize an initiative to collect books from the citizens outside of the country, I could even buy additional books and send them, I will offer a number of books that I have already have and hope they can be of a value to many.


Sharing knowledge makes you know more, not less. The man is right, in my view.

But still there are many around the world who think keeping their knowledge secret may benefit them more, which is wrong. A knowledge kept secret can't multiply itself and starts to dwindle over time.


Look at how the Gad-Galo of this forum reacted when I made the following comment back then, there is nothing more a proof that this to show the character is an ignorant moron, who opposes even the transfer of knowledge. He/she belongs to the dark age.

Why they hate him?

He wants to remove ignorance from its base in the society, which is the cause of much of the ills we found ourselves in today. Those who oppose him want to sustain the status quo and keep galloping on the back of those the fertile ground of ignorance could avail to them. He is shaking the ground, the base. His opponents sense that is going to be the end of the ground where they exploited so far, the longer they fail to remove him the more certain it will be that their bases would be demolished to the ground.

ከታሪካዊ ወቅቱና ከኢትዮጵያ የሶሻልና የፖለቲካ የጎሳ ርዕዮተ አለም አኳያ ሲታይ ኢንላይትንመንት የሚባለውን የስልጣኔ ስም መጠቀም አግባብ አልነበረውም የለውም ። መቶ አመት በፈጀው የአውሮጳዊያን ኢንላትንመንት ንቅናቄ ከተነሱትና ከገነኑት ሃሳቦች እጅግ ቀዳሚውና እስከ ዛሬ ያለም ሕዝብ የሚለፋለት ሃሳብ 'ስብአዊነት ' ሂዩማኒዝም የሚባለው ነው። አንድ የኢትዮጵያ ሰብአብዊ ግለሰብ እንደ ሰው ሙሉ መብትና ነጻነቱ በማይከበርበት፣ የዘመነ ብርሃንን ቁልፍ ሃሳብን እምነት ተቀባይነት በሌለበት ኢትዮጵያ ስለኢንላትመንት አንስቶ ለጎሳ አስተዳደር ጥቅም ማዋል ፍጹም ስህተት ነው። እውቀት በማንኛውም ማህበረሰብ ወስጥ አለ፤ ስለዚህ ብርሃን የሚለው ስም በቂ ነበር ።

ኢትዮጵያ የኢንላይትንመንት ዘመን ላይ አልደረሰችም። ከኢንላትንመንት ንቅናቄ በቀጥታ የተወለደው ያሜሪካ ዴሞክራሲ ነው ። (የራሳቸው የባሪያ ንግድን ወደ ጎን አድርገን) የአሜሪካ ሕገ መንግስት ነው ማለትም ሰው ሁሉ በፈጣሪዊ እኩል ሆኖ የተፈጠረው ስለሆነ በራሱ ላይ ሌላ ገዢ የለም፣ መንግስት ካቆመም እራሱ፣ በራሱ፣ ለራሱ ነው የሚለውን ገናና እምነት ያመጣ ንቅናቄ ነው። ያንን ቅዱስ ሃሳብ ከኢትዮጵያ ኋላ ቀር የዘርና የጎሳ ድርንቁርና ጋር ለውሶ አብርሆት ማለት ፕሮፓጋንዳ ነው ።

ተፈሪ መኮንን ብርሃንና ሰላም የሚባል ጋዜጣ ነበረው፤ ብርሃንና ሰላም ማተሚያ ቤትም እስከ ዛሬ አለው። ያ ግ ን የፊውዳል ሰርዓት ነበር። ያ እውቀትና ሰላም ማለት ነበር። ዛሬ ከፊውዳሊም ወደ ኤትኖክራሲ (ዘውጊዝም) ተሻግረናል፣ ቤተ መጻህፍቱም መባል ያለበት 'ብርሃን ቤተ መጻህፍት' እንጂ አብርሆት ወይም ብሩህነት ወይም ኢንላይትንመንት አይደለል። ኢንላይትንመንት ወይም 'ሰብአዊነት' የአቢይ መንግስት የሚያምንበት የሚደግፈው ሃስብ አይደለምና!

ከዚያ በተረፈ አቢይ አህመድ ለምን በወታደር ማሊያ መታየት እንደ ፈለገ ግልጽ አይደለሁም ። አባቶች ሲተርቱ 'ሰደህ ማሳደድ ካማረህ ዶሮህን በቆቅ ለውጣት' ይላሉ ። አቢይ የህዝብ ግጋፍ መልሶ የማግኘት ብዙ እየጣረ ነው ። ወደ ህዝብ ሃቀኛ ድጋፍ መሄጃው መንገድ የሚዲያ ትሪክ አይደለም። ፋና የብልጽግና ልሳን ነው ። ስለዚህ ይህ የሲምቦሊዝም ፖልቲካ ይባላል። ከህዝብ ለመታረቅ የህዝቡን ጥያቂ አንድ ባንድ መመልሰ ነው ። የኢትዮጵያ ሰብአዊ ግለሰብ ዜጋ ሰንደቅ አላማውን የማውለብለብ መብቱን ማክበር የመሪነት ሃ ሁና መጀምሪያ ነው! በቃ!

Knowledge is the product, it has many different delivery ways. One of the mostly used and well established delivery way for knowledge upto now is by means of book, those who read book know what they gain from doing that. Those who just heard about book may think book is just superfluous, not necessary anymore.

Books are being written with or without the advent of the internet. Ignorants can't say why, because they can't understand the value of book, a well established delivery means of knowledge.

Only if you have loved someone in the whole of your life, you would also going to know what love means to people.

Computer has been around for decades and has become an ubiquitous commodity of every households around the planet.

But onething has to strike your dumb head: it only facilitated the endeavor of writing book, not replaced it. Go home and think about it.

Let me ask you one very simple question, if you can elaborate it that to me. You talked about enlightenment, a powerful word in my view and no one should be against an enlightenment, which replaced the darkness that preceeded it, if I may guess.

From where does that start? From an individual level or at some level of communality? Can a community of, say a neighborhood, have an enlightenment before all the members of that community are enlightened?

And when is an individual considered to have been enlightened (here it is something like free of ignorance)? And when is a community of different levels are also considered to have been enlightened? When I say a community it also means even a nation or a global community in this case.

Does digital library make the library we used to know obsolete ? The jury is out. In a country like Ethiopia digital library to be the dominant means of knowledge will take decade. Contrary to popular belief as of now digital library has not produced many readers.
What people read mostly have been those posted on social media. Those are hot [deleted] issues that compels one take side using emotional appeal. In fact, in most cases those opinions are biased, politically marginalized, and racially charged.
I do not know what might happen decades down the road. But if we use the current trend as a guide digital library might not produce readers who eagerly devour the opportunity the digital library offers.

EthioRedSea, are you Somali? I thought Somalis are the ones who use the word bantu often. Most Ethiopians on the other hand don’t even know what that is. As far as I know there are no ethnic groups in Ethiopia that speak bantu languages. Ethiopians had no historical contacts with bantu people only Somalis. Just wondering about your obsession with bantus which is very unusual for an Ethiopian. May be you are Somali who knows.
