Initially a supporter of PM Abiy but became one of his critics for mishandling the various complex issues Ethiopia faces as the result of internal rivalry and external threats mainly from Egypt and Eritrea, I would like to note the following positive developments:
- Empowered by the current media technology, Ethiopian ellities in Ethiopia are more bold and vocal to speak their mind. This was not possible during previous governments.
- Though the number of people arrested may have increased by multiple folds , torture, killings and over all prison conditions are better than previous Ethiopian governments.
It is my hope Ethiopia avoids full blown civil war and all key stakeholders seat for negotiation and Isaias is out of Ethiopia !
