The following are my observations on the above:
- Abiy was present based on preplanned arrangement contrary to his claim. Most probably this book was funded and by the government for propaganda purpose and inaugurated on the 4th anniversary of his coming to power. Lie # 1
- Abiy is a good sells man that tells his audience what they want to hear ( mostly lies and exaggerations ) - Lie # 2
- He tried to blame Tigrayans for trying to make money out of the crises ( this is in continuation to his AntiTigrayanism campaign over the last four years) -Lie #3
- He also tried to blame the Tigrayan people / Tigray government for sending non-security risk old Eritreans back to Eritrea with the objective of confiscating their wealth- Lie # 4
. He also " played victim" of external forces that have been trying to control Ethiopia over the years.He was trying to explain the pressure he is facing from the international community is a contuination of the past and is not related to his own wrong doing( This is lie as he is conducting a genocidal war and using starvation as a weapon of war which is war crime) - Lie # 5
I will focus why Abiy was scratching the wound of more than 20 years old Ethio - Eritrea war.
Abiy betrayed the Tigray people and started a dirty war ( for a political problem that he could have solved in a peaceful manner) that has already killed hundreds of thousands of people. He also invited Isaias and allowed him to destroy Tigray. He incited the ongoing war between Tigray and Amhara and between Tigray and Afar. He has also given blind eye to ongoing killings of Amharas and other civilians in the Oromia state. He has been committing war crime by blocking food aid from reaching Tigray and thousands have already died due to starvation and lack of medication.
He is also trying to scratch the wound between the Eritrean and the Tigray people to incite another war between the Tigray people and the Eritrean people so that he will be relieved from the pressure that TDF could apply to his army and to please his mentor Isaias and to help him to agitate the Eritrean people to be ready for the war. He is also trying to agitate the Eritreans from the diaspora to help him on his new campaign championed by Hermela under the title of " Break-the-silence"
Abiy knows very well that citizens of Ethiopia that were living in Eritrea , most of them Tigrayans we're also faced harsh treatment from the Eritrea side. However, he is only telling part of the story in exaggerated and in a judgemental manner with the divide and rule intention. Abiy is not showing maturity and he has never stopped inciting people for more conflict and blood shed and he must go!
