Noble Agame,

This is 12th century Amharic.
My historian friend shared the poem dating it to the 17th century not 12th century. By the way Atse Amde Seyoun 1314-1344 was the first man to write in Amharic. Solomonic Amhara Atses before him would just write in Geez-igna because of the Orthodox Church, the same way Tigrays only wrote in Amharic & Geez for thousands of years until Eritrean EPLF taught them how to write in Tigrinya in the 1970s
