I welcome the declaration by the Government of Ethiopia of an indefinite humanitarian truce & the commitment by Tigrayan authorities to a cessation of hostilities.

I urge all parties in the conflict to build on this development & take steps needed toward a long-term ceasefire.

Secretary-General of the @UN

You are right, legally speaking Tigray is still part of Ethiopia. But when you look at the substance of their relationship, it is different. Substance is more relevant that the legal form if you want to to understand the realities on the ground.

Woyane’s “substance” varies depending on the weather. When they felt they were closing in Addis & formed a coalition of nine, they rediscovered many Ethiopian songs. When they got pushed back to their rat holes, they left those songs at the border. The serpents don’t even know what they want.

Ethiopia’s tplf a’ss spanking is not about a war or casualties of war from the start. It is tplf which made a war by the Ethiopian tegarus not cooperating to hand over the wanted terrorists.
Ethiopia never set out to deastroy tigray or starve its people or kill over 500 thousand of filthy funfunat unlawful tegarus people.
The so called war or all the miseries the filthy tegarus didn’t have to go through what they are going as we speak would not have happened if the so called ceasefire or negotiations to apply ceasefire was accepted by the coward tegarus even after they committed the genocide on the ethio troops.
The point is ceasefire doesn’t mean the change of the stance of Ethiopia in bringing the terrorists to the rule of law or assassinate them in due time.
So, why the hell is this fire considered as tplf victory or tigray tisi’er crap when tplf is kneeling or agreed to the stoppage of its a’ss spanking?
Ethiopia’s mission didn’t change and it didn’t start the war to occupy its own region.
Agames are really idiots.
Over 500 thousand dead rat agames, over 3 million dying of starvation and over 2 million immigrated in different directions, for what?
And so far these filthy agames never told us what was or is their final mission.
So, what is that they won except miseries for the next 100 years and more if they don’t behave and respect their own country and their neighborhood?

with incorrigible issayas and cajoled fano 's presence; is such a permanent peace ever possible? abiy will not be able to turn back the pandoras box that he so callously opened without heavy international active engagement.

It is to be known that issayas has openly stated that with the aid of fano, he will force a re-write of ethiopia's constitution, whereby he stands in a contemptuous open defiance of the will of ethiopian people who are increasingly demanding kilil rights.

Simply put, issayas' arrogance is out of this universe.

I don't think Abiy appreciates how complex Ethiopia is. He has opened the pandoras pox, and we all have to accept that there are some unavoidable long term consequences. He has political debts to many elements. The Abiy, Isaias and Amhara elite alliance have to accept that their joint venture has failed.

As such, the Amhara elite cannot expect to get a return on their investment as the project has flopped and they will have to return Wolkiat. You cannot get a return when your investment has flopped.

Based on the experience of the past two decades, if there is anything sure about Isaias's behavior, it is the fact that he only responds to the "stick". Almost everyone who has dealt with him know it by now. I don't think there is a "carrot" that will persuade him to take his army out of Tigray. So the sooner they bring the "stick" the better. Isaias will continue to be a spoiler unless the international community in collaboration with Abiy started to apply painful sticks asap. The stick works all the time.

Sarcasm you dumb a’ss deceitful agame, Ethiopia is a sovereign nation and it is the only nation which can tell Eritrean troops to vacate your cursed Ethiopian territories tigray and Eritrea will comply if our troops are deep in your a’ss hole that is.
The UN, USA, or even your god can’t override the Ethiopian govt wish.
There was never a stick which applied to Eritrea which was successful. What the fu’ck are you talking that your masters stick made us do what we were not set up to do.
We don’t need their carrots and there is mo stick big enough to stop us from spanking your agame behind so long the Ethiopian govt is happy about it.
The time the ethio govt tell us enough now, we will be gone….again if our di”cks are deep inside your a’ss holes.
