Ethiopia building Navy to counter internal, external attacks: Navy Commander-in-Chief

Addis Abeba – Rear Admiral Kindu Gezu, Commander-in-Chief of the Ethiopian Navy, said that Ethiopia was building a navy capable of countering internal and external attacks.

According to the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF), the Commander-in-Chief said this during a tour to the Navy Basic Training School located in Bishoftu, Oromia state, on 24 March where he discussed with the students. The building for the training school is under construction.

During the meeting, Rear Admiral Kindu stressed the need to build and train a modern navy that can safeguard Ethiopia’s security and withstand internal and external challenges.

“To build the navy’s capacity, it needs a well-educated, trained, ethical and patriotic workforce,” he said, and added that efforts were underway to restore the Navy to its former status.

Rear Admiral Kindu told the trainees that in order for Ethiopia to benefit from its navy, they must effectively complete their training being offered both at home and different countries abroad

What is the responsibility of the Ethiopian Gov't if TPLF tries to invade Eritrea, a sovereign nation? How far Eritrea's response could go?
It is apparent now that Orommuma is trying to make up with TPLF by step by step accepting TPLF's (America's) demands. WolQayit and Raya seem a forgone conclusion. However, is the Ethiopian Gov't once again trying to shy away from fully implementing the Algiers Agreement that was signed by Aite Meles Zenawi?

Finally, the advance by TPLF through Afar has as an end goal securing access to the sea outlet. The Ethiopian Gov't doesn't seem interested in deterring that move. To make matters a bit worrisome, the Orommuma Gov't is building a navy without having any access to international waters. So far no country has come forward to rent its shores for the said intent.

First, I wouldn't really give much attention to what the agamelady posts here 24/7 against Eritrea and the people of Eritrea... Because History tells us Agames are the worst enemy of Eritrea and the people of Eritrea and we don't expect any thing different...

Back to your comment...I understand your concern.. But I don't think Eritrea needs any help from anybody to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity. If Agame dare to cross our border, they know that we will have a second visit to Mekelle to annihilate the rest of agames for good and I am sure they have realized this fact. When it comes to Ethiopia building so called a navy, it is up to Ethiopia. For example, Eritrea can build a team of Astronauts to visit to Mars and I don't think anybody can stop us from dreaming.... Having said that we don't see any problem with the Ethiopian government as we consider the Dr. Abby led Ethiopian government our reliable ally. The way things have been going in the last over three years, Eritrea and Ethiopia will always have their backs...

One thing that we need to be very clear though.. Eritrea does not have any problem to defend its territorial integrity against anybody... We have done that during TPLF led Ethiopia for over 20 years and it is even much easier to do it now against TPLF led tiny Killil Tigray...

Some of such people are first idiots and secondly they don’t know international rules of law and most importantly some one needs to remind them that not only Eritrea’s sea coasts but the whole Eritrea was illegally handed to the midget sellassie so he be a slave to their interests and during Sellassie and mengistu era, due to the un winnable war Ethiopia tried to make it its part, Ethiopia’s economy was wasted just like what woyane is wasting its kids lives (minimum of a million Ethiopian troops were sacrificed to a failed mission during the previous two leaders just like now in woyane cases) and its economy.

TPLF wouldn't dare try Eritrea, let's be honest, unless they're on a mission of self destruction.
Eritrea has one of the strongest armies in Africa, you should worry more for the people you claim to represent, the Amhara's, the Eritreans are sufficient for themselves, as they have proven time and time again.

ከዛ ይልቅ አስመራ ለዋልኩት ውለታ በግልፅ ልመሰገን ይገባኛል የአብይ አሕመድ መንግስት ቃሉን አልጠበቀልኝም የሚል ወቀሳ ስታቀርብ ቆይታለች። አሁን ላይ ግን ለቀባህር ሰላይዎች የተረፈው የአዲስ አበባና የአስመራ ፍቅር ሽውታ መቶታል። ሰላም ሰላም ለኢትዮ ኤርትራ በሚል ሙዚቃ የሰላም ቅኔዎችን ዘምረን እንደታረቅነው ሁሉ፣ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስቴር አብይ አሕመድም የኖቤል ሽልማታቸውን ያየነሱበት እርቅ ወደ ፀብ ላለመቀየሩ ዋስትና የለውም ይላል የሱዳኑ ጋዜጣ አል አለሚ በረጅሙ ትንታኔው ላይ።
