A hypothetical scenario or question

Assuming that Russia or China, just as an example, would going to decide to give a "lethal aid" massively to a neighboring country of USA, UK, Germany or any other so called "allies" of the West, and then on top of that go further still and agitate the recipient openly and massively to wage war with its neighbor how would the latter (the neighbor) respond to this issue?
More concretely let's assume that Russia will give that massive "lethal aid" to Mexico or Canada, or the Republic of Ireland, or to Denmark, just to mention few neighbors of the example countries and pushes them to wage an open war, then how would these countries react to this (hypothetical) scenario?
Please say your own conscious opinion and help me come to terms with this hypothetical scenario.
