As the liberal pax Americana world order is collapsing and rebirth of the new cold war (cyberwar), the biggest loser is USA. Europe that was a subject of America following WWII is now breaking out US control and asserting its own military might. In short, the German power is back and a clear sigh of US-EU power struggle.
With Russo-Chiense alliance and the division of the world between socalled liberal west and illiberal east and everybody in between such as India and Africa, we are witnessing the emergence of a new international paradigm. The Russo-Ukrainian war is mere symptom of a larger picture of the decline and fall of American global hegemony and the division of the world into multiple centers of power.
Forget so call US/EU humanitarian law, rule-based world order and the weaponization of sanctions, IMF, World bank and other post WWII tools of domination. Call it by any name you wish - new cold war, warm war, or cyber war - it is a new animal that coming!!!!
NATO
At present, NATO has 30 members. In 1949, there were 12 founding members of the Alliance: Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, the United Kingdom and the United States. The other member countries are: Greece and Turkey (1952), Germany (1955), Spain (1982), the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland (1999), Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia (2004), Albania and Croatia (2009), Montenegro (2017) and North Macedonia (2020).
