Well, there is even more strange than this. That is, has anyone ever heard a woman taking her husbands name not her own father's name? Yes, in the so-called Oromiya region, some women's father's name is their husbands fathers name. Isn't bizarre, I know many Oromo wives don't take their husbands father name, but this group in the Jimma area do.

29% of married Somali women aged between 15 and 49 are in a polygamous union is absolutely false. Such figure must be the work of an extrapolation based on the fact that Somalis are Muslims and thus assuming that polygamy trends continue or still remain applicable among Somalis, which is not the fact at all.

Among Somalis, its' very rare these days to come across polygamous unions in urban areas, and you don't find anything close to 29% in any rural areas inhabited by Somalis, be it in the Western Somalia, currently under Ethiopian occupation, or anywhere else.
