I feel sorry for my third country Ukraine for the miseries it is facing.
After Eritrea and the USA Kiev was the third longest home of my life.
What a beautiful city Kiev is and nice people they are.
But the stupid Zelenski (president) miscalculated in aligning with the west.
Its interest is intertwined with Russia and at least he should have been neutral like Sweden and Finland and the Ukrainians wouldn’t have been in deep sh’it as we speak.
What Russia is doing might be wrong, but Russia (Putin), North Korea, Iran are not Sadam, Gadaffi, Assad, Venezuela.
He can and he will get away with his plans.
America is a bully. And it only goes after weak countries to further its interest 10s of thousand miles off its shores.
Well, soon Russia will go back to USA vicinity like the old time (Cuba) and make the USA mind its business or else. Even though it doesn’t need to be closer to the USA to further its agenda (security).
Scaring the sh”it of the European countries is enough hostage taking card it has.
The sooner Ukraine kneels down, the better to its citizens.

I am afraid Ukrainians are not going to “ [kneel] down.” That the conflict might metastasize to a different type of fighting is a given. That Ukrainians might engage in a long insurgent type of operation is more than likely. The support the world is giving them now is an impetus for them to fight to the end.
The president of Ukraine turning down the “ride” says something : Ukrainians are determined not to give up. The more they hunkered down, the more the world outcry intensify. That at the end will demoralize the Russian army.

Why did President Putin use the word Neonazis in this conflict?

BBC just reported saying black "students" were blocked from entering into the neighboring Poland while trying to flee Ukraine and returned back, to stay in Ukraine.

This is in the face of many West-European countries claiming that they welcome all those who are fleeing from the war-ravaged Ukraine, and admitting this is in clear departure of their policy during the Syrian war and ensued mass movement of people in the year 2015, back then it was only Germany which welcomed the fleeing people into its territory. Many eastern European countries blocked the refugees back then too, claiming if Germany may need people for its booming economy, then we in the Eastern Europe are closer to Germany than the Muslims coming from Middle East.

Poland was one of them back then, Hungary is another that I still remember of blocking the fleeing refugees out of Syria.


President Putin said, for whatever reason, that he/his government is sending russian troops to Ukraine to root-out "Neonazis" in the government there.
