We need to evict Eritrea's troops from Ethiopia - that is the way out or overthrow Abiy Ahmed, the self appointed PM!

As I see it, Egypt is behind the current crisis in Ethiopia and Eritrea is waging a proxy war against Tigray and Oromo. Tigray is not at all a threat to Ethiopia or Eritrea. Oromo is also not a threat. Through negotiations all political partys and groups could be united to form a government that addresses all issues properly. But this means a strong Ethiopia, which Egypt, UAE and Saudi Arabia (maybe Israel too) do not want to see. Besides USA and EU do not want to see a strong Ethiopia too.
The question is not about unitary state or ethnic federal state or civic federal state. A democratic unitary state can create the pre-conditions for equality of all ethnic groups. On the other hand, ethnic federalism could not address the ethnic discrimination as each ethnic group that takes power can abuse power. Important is to have a constitution that stands for equality of ethnic groups and religions.
Ethnic federalism in it's current form is not accepted by the people. There is an Oromo Regional State which historically has not existed before. Meles Zenawi and other TPLF high cadres created the Oromia Regional State. There is also a Somali regional state which has no historical roots. In the ethnic federalism which Ethiopia is under, the looser is Tigray Regional State. It is Meles Zenawi and his supporters who created the current Tigray Regional State which covers the smallest area in Ethiopia. Historically Tigray should have extended to North Afar area, North Gonder and most of Wello area including Lalibella. TPLF betrayed Tigray to hold onto power in Addis Abeba.
A modified federal state with an accent on unity and equality should be created. We need to expel Eritrea from Ethiopia. We need to control Egypt's involvement by barring investors from Egypt and UAE or Saudi Arabia. The other option is fragmentation of Ethiopia which could be costly in terms of lost lives and property. We need to find the middle way and work on that. United States of Ethiopia with smaller provinces of 25-30 is one option. But the first thing is to get Eritrea out and to stop Issayas from intervening in our internal affairs.
