The only standard Tigrigna language to be used is only the one spoken in Tigray. We shall support you to get training courses and teach you how to speak and write Tigrigna. Most universities and colleges in Tigray offer courses in Tigrigna Language and Literature. We shall also offer courses in Geez language and literature. It is necessary to learn Geez in order to speak Tigrigna properly.

Kunama, Afar, Erob are Tigrayans. Enderta (Mekelle) are native speakers of Tigray. Enderta Tigrigna is one of the sources of standard Tigrigna. It has no influence from Hamassien and Amara.

I am laughing at your claim. They are not Tigre. They wanted to secede from Tigray and have their own ክልል, because they do not accept an alien imposed identity.

Tigrigna as spoken by Tigray nobility and clergy is the standard. Aksum, Tembien, Enderta, Agame could be standard. Tigrigna spoken in Eritrea cannot qualify as standard Tigrigna because it uses many Saho, Beja, Tigre words and the intonation/pronunciation does not reflect the Tigrigna we use in Tigray. We can use vocabulary and grammar used in Eritrea but not pronunciation and intonation. Geez grammar and pronunciation will be the foundation. The ground work is already done. Nothing to ponder about. Just use the right Tigrigna and write books or edit films. Sing in a standard Tigrigna and we shall enjoy your music.

Don't be a stupid and a liar. Tigrayans with the exception of some ( tv-Ere kids programme children of Tigray like Donat Qeshi, adults with love and desire to learn Tigrigna like Tsadqan Gebre-Tinsaé...) do not speak Tigrigna. Eritrea is the mother of Ge'ez, Tigré, Tigrigna and Amharic.

Tigrigna is the language of Tigray people. The Tigrigna language as spoken in Tigray was used by Emperor Yohannes, Raesi Allula, Raesi Seyoum and all other Tigray nobility and clergy. The current Patriarch of The Orthodox Church in Ethiopia speaks the same standard language we use in Tigray. Abune Paulos, Meles Zenawi spoke the standard Tigrigna language as spoken in Tigray. Meles learned how to speak standard Tigrigna later. Eritrea was a district of Tigray and does not have the capacity to develop Tigrigna or Geez. Tigray is blessed with clergy dedicated to religion of The Orthodox Christianity. Tigray has more monastries than the whole of Ethiopia and Eritrea. In those monstries Tigrigna and Geez is used. I do not have any prejudice against Eritrea being the centre of Tigrigna language, but it is not. It is the Tigrigna of Enderta and Tembien that is used in the news papers and Tigray TV. Tigray TV purposely employs journalists from Eritrea to help develop standard Tigrigna. However, the eritrean journalists spoke substandard Tigrigna and are not employed as frequently as before and will not be employed until they attend The Standard Tigrigna Language Course. Issayas Afeworqi speaks substandard Tigrigna. His pronounciation and intonation is like some one from Saho, Beja .

The freaking funniest claim I ever heated.
Agames have no shame at all. They are claiming like the Patwa English of Caribbean languages the Creol of Haiti version of French and the numerous African so called English speakers are originated from the Careabeans and Africa.
Man, from all the fucked up creol and patwa the freaking weak and ugly language is your agamigna.
If that is not the case, why are you all funfunat agames speak the clean Eritrean tigrigna?
GTFO. Idiot!

Why do you insult Agames? Agame District is the smallest in Tigray with a population of about 750000. But you are afraid of them. Agames are one of the foundation of Aksumite Kingdom. They are free people since the beginning of time. They are mixed with Irob or Saho. Insulting Agames day and day out makes us Tigrayans more nationalistic. Agames are protected by all Tigrayans. They rather need to be respected. They are more intelligent than Eritreans or Amaras.
We used Tigrigna of Tigray and we are inviting all Eritreans to speak Tigrigna of Tigray. Language makes the mind. You think with the language you speak. People in Eritrea speak substandard Tigrigna and their pronunciation is bad. They speak as if it is their second tongue, not mother tongue. The intonation is also bad. The pitch is high when it should be low. If your loved one is dying, you would need high pitch to cry and a low pitch for the attendees to express their sorrow. We have some Eritreans speaking good standard Tigrigna. But they are Tigrayans. They leave in Tigray and are born here. This is not intended to offend any one. It is just to present the facts. Tigrgna of Tigray will be the standard

Standard Tigrigna is already the norm in Tigray. TPLF has done a good job in this respect. All youth in Tigray use the same standard Tigrigna because TPLF had instructed all schools to teach in Tigrigna starting from nursery to high school and beyond. Thus Tigrigna spoken in Raya is the same as Tigrigna spoken in Adwa or Agame. The youth speaks the same standard Tigrigna. The parents speak in their dialect still, but have improved a lot.

Agaminya is not Tiginya,it's amharic-agew-nigerian ebo-ghana language combined. Now if u want pure Tigrinya then go and visit my Eritrea. Cursed-Land-Tigray baztards stole our food and songs and our history and our Eritrean invented tigrinya. Z English language was invented in England but died in India. Z same is with our Eritrean tigrinya language was invented in my Eritrea but died in Cursed-Land-Tigray. How u talk about tigrinya, when u can't even speak or write it?
