There is a similar adage in Arabic, it goes:
"Min Hafera Hufra li akihi dekela fiHa" literally translated: whoever digs a hole or a grave deliberately for others, he is prone to enter into it and end there.
Just a minor correction, do not dub all eritreans collectively and put them in one basket. Most eris save the eri afaris, do not even know if djibouti borders them. Lol
The government of Eritrea is a one-man-show as we speak, hence it does't represent the overwhelming majority of the eri populace.
"Min Hafera Hufra li akihi dekela waka’a fiHa"
Thanks for the correction. WeQaa fiHa is the right term.Somaliman wrote: ↑07 Feb 2022, 15:17kerenite wrote: ↑07 Feb 2022, 13:32AbyssiniaLady,AbyssiniaLady wrote: ↑07 Feb 2022, 12:45As the saying goes, who digs a pit for others will fall in themselves, Eritreans tried pitting Ethiopia against Djibouti, but to no avail.

Among Somalis, we say, "Don't dig a hole (for your brother, like in Arabic) for others, but if you decide to dig it, don't dig it deep, as you might fall into it yourself."

In Somali language, we write the ق as Q, just as you've written it. Do you know any other language(s) that write it as Q, too?WeQa'a

Ethiopia has no intention to antagonise Eritrea but what we are witnessing is a signs that relations between Ethiopia and Eritrea is deteriorating, Eritrean delegations were humiliated in front of all heads of state and government of all the fifty-five African countries, It's an unprecedented humiliation for Eritrea.
The Government of Ethiopia completely ignored H. E Mr. Osman Saleh, The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Eritrea.
Don't forget what has already been achieved. Look at this :
