Raya are Tigrayans. There are Amara settlers. Rayans are Aksumites, still holding the ancient culture of The Orthodox Christianity. They dance like the Oromos but speak Tigrigna and some use Amara words. In general Rayans feel they are Ethiopians - they are not linked to any ethnic group. The Amara in Raya are a disturbing factor because of inferiority complex. They sing in Tigrigna with Amara features of dance and are always sabotaging Tigrayan culture. TPLF should have addressed this issue but could not because they do not have a Tigrayan agenda. Future leaders should deport Amara settlers to where they came from. They are a security risk for Tigrayan communities in Tigray.

Tigrigna is not a settler language.. Eritreans do not speak Tigrigna. Tigrigna is the language as spoken in Tigray. Tigrigna is the public version of Geez. The common people speak Tigrigna and the clergy use Geez. Most of Wello and Gonder was part of Tigray. Tigrigna is a very good attractive and rich language as spoken and written by Tigrayans. Tigrigna sounds like Aramaic, according to one scientist and is difficult to pronounce for Amara, Oromo and other non-Tigrayans but easy to Europeans, Jews, Arabs, Indians according to one experiment. Tigrigna is logical and relates to the people who use it in a natural way. I am proud to be a Tigrayan and to have been selected by history to use Tigrigna as my mother tongue.

Tigrinya recently expanded into Tembien and Raya both of these provinces are not tigrinya people but learned it recently. The original tribe/clan of Rayans are the Doba/Dobean Wolloye agaw people that lived in Alaje Endemehoni and Azebo, the Tembienays are Awre Agews!

The funny thing is Amharic was spoken in Shewa before tigrinya was spoken in Raya and Tembien tigrinya has always been a small and unwanted language in Ethiopia///Abysinnia

Tigrinya spread to Tembien, Wajerat, Raya, Agame, Sheraro through Famines like this video down below my name

Tembien is the home of Emperor Yohanness. He was born and grew up there. Awuris dance is similar to Beja Tribe dance.Tigray and Agew people have been interacting through out history. Enderata has been paying taxes to King Lalibella.
Raya has been under Aksumite rule as archeology shows. Parts of Shewa have been under Aksum. Menzes are like Tigrayans.
I think Tigrayans and Amara are the same people. But there are Bantu Africans that have settled in Tigray and Amara.
